The interior is also coated with hard enamel for long-lasting performance. The lid of these stove top kettles are solidly constructed and snug fitting, so to protect the inside from the wear and tear from boiling.
The 12 inch wide flat-bottom design of the Ogive stove top kettles makes these ideal for use on all cooking surfaces, whether it be gas, electric, enamel, radiant, halogen and induction stoves.
Capacity is 1.8 quarts. As with the other Le Creuset stove top kettles, a melodious whistle sounds when water starts to boil. A heat-resistant ergonomic handle provides excellent balance when lifting and also stays cool to the touch for safety. The pour spout of the Ogive Le Creuset kettle is fitted with a heat-resistant cap (which houses the whistle) and has a flip-back lever so you can halt the whistling and pour.
